Parking is available on Second and Third streets and Market and Jefferson streets, as well as in the newly enlarged lot between the caboose and the Welcome Center.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_65594\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65594\" style=\"width: 330px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Holiday-at-Home-2015-Museum-activities.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-65594\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65594\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Holiday-at-Home-2015-Museum-activities.jpg\" alt=\"Holiday at Home 2015-Museum activities\" width=\"330\" height=\"165\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-65594\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>A number of activities are planned for this Fourth of July at the Van Wert County Historical Museum. Shown are activities from an earlier Holiday at Home celebration.<\/strong> <em>(VW independent file photo)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The festivities will begin at 11a.m. in the Old Fashioned Farmers Market, then Van Wert High School Marching Band students and the American Legion\/Veterans of Foreign Wars color guard will conduct a flag-raising ceremony at noon. There will be a variety of area crafters displaying their talents and offering handmade items for sale on the museum grounds, while Van Wert\u00a0Rotary Club will supply the food from a tent on Third Street.\u00a0Ice cream from The Sycamore will also be available, as well as cotton candy served by the Van Wert Band Parents.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s entertainment includes the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Noon-12:45 p.m. &#8212;\u00a0Quintessentials\u00a0 (2016 \u201cOhio Has Talent\u201d winners)<\/li>\n<li>1-2 &#8212; The Van Wert Area Community Concert Band, directed by Richard Sherrick<\/li>\n<li>2-3 &#8212; Aaron Roehm Magic and Balloons<\/li>\n<li>3-4 &#8212;\u00a0Gospel\u00a0with\u00a0Randy Long<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>New this year is a cornhole tournament and special hands-on children\u00a0activities,\u00a0including a new train ride.\u00a0All of the museum\u2019s buildings will also be open from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the Fourth.
