{"id":7914,"date":"2011-05-14T01:33:40","date_gmt":"2011-05-14T06:33:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=7914"},"modified":"2011-05-14T01:33:40","modified_gmt":"2011-05-14T06:33:40","slug":"wassenberg-sets-dates-for-june-art-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/05\/14\/wassenberg-sets-dates-for-june-art-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Wassenberg sets dates for June Art Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wassenberg Art Center in Van Wert has announced that its 55th annual June Art Exhibit will be on display from June 5-25, from 1-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.\u00a0 Admission is free.\u00a0Van Wert Federal Savings Bank sponsors the exhibit.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-7915\" style=\"border: 0px initial initial\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/Wassenberg-June-Art-Show-logo-5-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"112\" \/>The juried exhibit, open to artists age 18 and older, will feature original\u00a0paintings, drawings,\u00a0hand-pulled prints, collage, sculpture, mixed media, pottery, ceramics, glass, jewelry, metalwork and much more.<\/p>\n<p>The opening reception will be held a few days after the show opening and the show will open to the public on June 5.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate\u00a0both the show&#8217;s 55th year and the 50th anniversary of the Main Gallery addition, the art center will hold an opening reception and cookout on Saturday, June 11, from 5-9 p.m.\u00a0 Awards will be presented to artists at 7 p.m.\u00a0 The public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact the Wassenberg Art Center by phone at 419.238.6837 or\u00a0by e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:wassenberg@embarqmail.com\">wassenberg@embarqmail.com<\/a>.\u00a0 The art center is located at 643 S.
