(photo submitted)\" width=\"350\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-79431\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>The Lincolnview girls&#8217; cross country team poses with its third-place trophy at Wayne Trace.<\/strong> <em>(photo submitted)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The boys were led by Karter Tow, who placed fourth overall in a season best time of 17:32.\u00a0He was followed by teammates Jacob Keysor, who was seventh (17:59); Tracey West, eighth (18:01); Austin Elick, ninth (18:08); and Alek Bowersock, 12th (18:17).\u00a0 Rounding out the top seven were Ryan Rager, 36th; and Devon Bill, 38th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe boys really fought hard tonight; we wanted to work on our pack and we accomplished that in this race,\u201d said Lincolnview Head Coach Matt Langdon.\u00a0\u201cI think they are set up to run fast times this weekend.\u00a0A lot of our boys dropped time from Saturday\u2019s race and I liked how we responded to adversity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The girls were led by Rylee Byrne, who placed seventh overall in a time of 22:13. She was followed by teammate Tori Snyder, who placed 10th (22:24); Alena Looser, who placed 14th (22:50); Abbie Enyart, 17th (23:21); and Kaylee Hobbs, 47th (25:59).\u00a0Rounding out the varsity were Miah Katalenas (51st) and Ryanne Ducheney (52nd).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe girls set the tone for the meet; they went out and raced great and showed a tremendous amount of courage,\u201d Coach Langdon said.\u00a0\u201cI am so proud of these young ladies and it is great to see how they are not allowing injuries to define their season.\u00a0They are finding ways to overcome and I am glad to see them take home their first trophy.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_79432\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-79432\" style=\"width: 545px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-79432\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Lancer-boys-CC-team-8-30-16.jpg\" alt=\"The Lancer boys' cross country team with their championship trophy at the Wayne Trace Invitational.
