{"id":8053,"date":"2011-05-18T04:22:56","date_gmt":"2011-05-18T09:22:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=8053"},"modified":"2011-05-18T04:22:56","modified_gmt":"2011-05-18T09:22:56","slug":"several-sentenced-in-cp-court-hearings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/05\/18\/several-sentenced-in-cp-court-hearings\/","title":{"rendered":"Several sentenced in CP Court hearings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Van Wert independent<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An Indiana man who allegedly assaulted the Convoy marshal during a traffic stop in October 2010 was one of several people placed on community control during hearings held Tuesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.<\/p>\n<p>Carl Donley, 39, of Decatur, Ind., was placed on three years of community control in connection with a charge of assault, a felony of the fourth degree. The charge stems from an incident that occurred October 9, 2010, where Donley reportedly pushed an officer who had stopped the vehicle in which he was a passenger.<\/p>\n<p>A Defiance man who assaulted a Van Wert County Sheriff\u2019s Department deputy during an incident that took place at a Convoy residence, was also placed on three years of community control. Scott D. Bauer, 48, who was accused of assaulting a deputy during an incident that occurred in October 2010 in Convoy, was also given 60 days of electronically monitored house arrest in connection with the charge. Mitigating circumstances in the case include the fact that Bauer has successfully completed a rehabilitation program administered by Nova House.<\/p>\n<p>Two men who went into a Van Wert residence uninvited and assaulted a person living there were also placed on community control.<\/p>\n<p>Steven Darnell, 23, and Joel Crawford, 22, both of Van Wert, were both given three years of community control on charges of burglary. Darnell was charged with a fourth-degree count of burglary, while Crawford, who pleaded guilty to a third-degree burglary charge, was also ordered to spend up to six months in the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation (WORTH) Center in Lima as part of his community control sentence.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Krick, 48, of Van Wert, was given a year of community control on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. Krick allegedly caused, or attempted to cause, harm to a family member.<\/p>\n<p>Also Tuesday, Samantha J. Lacy, 19, of Van Wert, was released from jail on an unsecured personal surety bond on a probation violation charge.<\/p>\n<p>Court officials are trying to get Lacy admitted to an inpatient treatment center to help her deal with her substance abuse issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert independent An Indiana man who allegedly assaulted the Convoy marshal during a traffic stop in October 2010 was one of several people placed on community control during hearings held Tuesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.
