Etgen, 76, of Convoy, died at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6483\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/American-Flag-artwork-for-obits-4-2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"75\" \/>He was born January 29, 1935, in Van Wert County, the son of the late A.J. and Mary Etgen. He married Rosanna (Purk) Etgen, who survives in Convoy.<\/p>\n<p>Other survivors include a son, Scot Alan (Karen) Etgen of Convoy; one sister, Marilyn (Richard) Brabant of Delphos; a grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>A brother, Richard Etgen; and three sisters, Velma Leaser, Mildred Dilbone and Gloria Bayman, also preceded him in death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Gearhart, Mack &amp; Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, with the Rev. Greg Leigh officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul W. Miller.
