{"id":85733,"date":"2017-03-29T07:34:31","date_gmt":"2017-03-29T12:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=85733"},"modified":"2017-03-29T07:34:31","modified_gmt":"2017-03-29T12:34:31","slug":"germann-named-nsba-board-member","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2017\/03\/29\/germann-named-nsba-board-member\/","title":{"rendered":"Germann named NSBA board member"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Submitted information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDRIA, Virginia &#8212; Lincolnview and Vantage board member Eric Germann has been named a member of the National School Boards Association, according to information released this week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_55474\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-55474\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-55474\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Eric-Germann-headshot-9-2014.jpg\" alt=\"Eric Germann\" width=\"150\" height=\"236\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-55474\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>Eric Germann<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Germann, who just completed a term as president of the Ohio School Boards Association, has been named to represent the Central Region for the 2017-18 school year.<\/p>\n<p>The NSBA announced its president and leadership as well, with Kevin E. Ciak of New Jersey\u2019s Sayreville Public Schools elected president of the national school organization. Frank C. Pugh of California\u2019s Santa Rosa City School District, was named president-elect, while Miranda A. Beard of Mississippi\u2019s Laurel School District, will now serve as immediate past president.<\/p>\n<p>Germann is currently in his eighth year on the Lincolnview Local Board of Education and his fourth year on the Vantage Board of Education.<\/p>\n<p>Germann holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in electrical engineering from Ohio Northern University and a master\u2019s degree in information and communication sciences from Ball State University.<\/p>\n<p>Germann and his wife, Karen, live in rural Van Wert County and have five children.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Submitted information ALEXANDRIA, Virginia &#8212; Lincolnview and Vantage board member Eric Germann has been named a member of the National School Boards Association, according to information released this week.
