{"id":8579,"date":"2011-05-28T02:53:23","date_gmt":"2011-05-28T07:53:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/?p=8579"},"modified":"2011-05-28T02:53:23","modified_gmt":"2011-05-28T07:53:23","slug":"knight-girls-place-at-regional-track-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2011\/05\/28\/knight-girls-place-at-regional-track-meet\/","title":{"rendered":"Knight girls place at regional track meet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TROY &#8212; Crestview track team placed in five events at the Troy Regional Track Meet and qualified its 4&#215;400-meter relay team for the Division III State Track Meet to be held next week in Columbus.<\/p>\n<p>The 4&#215;400-meter relay team (Ami Callow, Courtney Perrott, Erika Frey and Layne Callow) finished in fourth place in that event in a time of 4:03.50, breaking a school record and allowing the relay team to return to state for the second consecutive year.<\/p>\n<p>Also placing in the regional meet were Erika Frey, who finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.11 seconds; Layne Callow, who was sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:00.20; Courtney Perrott, who finished sixth in the 800-meter run in 2:26.24 and the 4&#215;200-meter relay team (Grace Callow, Frey, Layne Callow and Ami Callow), which placed seventh in a time of 1:48.19.<\/p>\n<p>As a team, the Crestview girls were 15th overall in the regional meet out of 40 teams.
