The Brumback Library joins libraries in schools, campuses, and communities throughout the United States as they celebrate the dynamic changes which are taking place in today\u2019s libraries. During National Library Week, April 10-15, the changing role of libraries, librarians, and library workers will be highlighted.<\/p>\n

Libraries of all types are evolving to meet the needs of the communities they serve.<\/p>\n

Today, libraries are creative and engaging life-long centers of learning where patrons can discover new technologies, participate in a special program, or simply read and relax with a newspaper, a magazine, or a good book. In keeping with the American Library Association\u2019s theme, libraries, literally and figuratively, transform lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cService to the community has always been the focus of our library,\u201d said Brumback Director John Carr. \u201cWe serve over 28,000 registered Van Wert County residents of all ages, as well as students and the public at large as they pursue a myriad of research, informational, and recreational needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe resources, services, and programming efforts which we provide are well used,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s week-long National Library Week celebration will include the following activities:<\/p>\n
