The two choirs were directed by Stacie Korte and accompanied by Annette Hoverman.<\/p>\n<p>The junior high choir performed five pieces including \u201cCripple Creek,\u201d \u201cSwing Down, Ezekiel!\u201d and \u201cOb-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.\u201d Four junior high ensembles performed the following pieces: \u201cIn My Dream,\u201d \u201cThe Moon,\u201d \u201cA Voice From a Dream\u201d and \u201cRock Island Line.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_87711\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-87711\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-87711\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Lincolnview-choir-concert-5-9-17.jpg\" alt=\"The junior high and high school choirs, as well as the select ensemble and the high school boys perform at the spring choral concert. The choirs were under the direction of Stacie Korte.<\/strong> <em>(Lincolnview photo)<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The high school choir performed five pieces, including \u201cAfrica,\u201d \u201cOn My Way to Jordan,\u201d and \u201cDon\u2019t Stop Believin\u2019,\u201d featuring soloist Lainie Jones.<\/p>\n<p>The select ensemble, which includes seniors Katlyn Wendel, Claira Rhoades, and Angel Proctor, as well as juniors Alana Williams and Lainie Jones, sang \u201cLet\u2019s Hear it for the Boy,\u201d \u201cTime after Time,\u201d and \u201cGirls Just Want to Have Fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI Am a Man of Constant Sorrow,\u201d featuring soloists Brad Korte, Ryan Rager, and Alek Bowersock, was performed by the high school boys.<\/p>\n<p>Two seniors, Rager and Wendel, performed piano solos of \u201cHow Great Thou Art\u201d and \u201cMy Tribute,\u201d respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, senior students have the opportunity to present their parents with a flower during the song, \u201cFor Just a Little While.\u201d This year, 15 seniors gave out a flower.<\/p>\n<p>Together, the combined choirs concluded the concert with \u201cHumble and Kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The high school choir received all superior ratings at the District III OMEA competition and an excellent rating at the OMEA state competition.<\/p>\n<p>The junior high choir will perform in the District III OMEA competition at 4:30 p.m. today at Parkway High School.
