{"id":88638,"date":"2017-06-02T10:47:52","date_gmt":"2017-06-02T15:47:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=88638"},"modified":"2017-06-02T15:46:53","modified_gmt":"2017-06-02T20:46:53","slug":"state-track-is-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2017\/06\/02\/state-track-is-underway\/","title":{"rendered":"State Track is underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Van Wert independent sports<\/em><\/p>\n<p>COLUMBUS &#8212; The 2017 Ohio High School Athletic Association Track and Field State Tournament began this morning at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University.<\/p>\n<p>Two Van Wert County runners finished their respective seasons today.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-86238\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/OSHAA-logo-e1496418388812.jpg\" alt=\"OHSAA logo\" width=\"100\" height=\"107\" \/>In Division III, Lincolnview High School\u2019s Ryan Rager closed out his high school career by placing 16th in the 400 meter dash, with a time of 52.62 seconds. Rager will now turn his attention to running indoor and outdoor track at Cedarville University.<\/p>\n<p>Lancer teammate Kartow Tow will compete in the 3200 meter run at 11:25 tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n<p>Van Wert\u2019s Brandon Hernandez saw his season come to an end this afternoon. Hernandez placed 16th in the preliminaries of the 300 meter hurdles.
