{"id":91048,"date":"2017-08-02T15:30:26","date_gmt":"2017-08-02T20:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/?p=91048"},"modified":"2017-08-02T15:30:26","modified_gmt":"2017-08-02T20:30:26","slug":"man-dead-inside-truck-cab-after-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevwindependent.com\/news\/2017\/08\/02\/man-dead-inside-truck-cab-after-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Man dead inside truck cab after accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>OHSP information<\/em><\/p>\n<p>CECIL &#8212; The Ohio State Highway Patrol\u2019s Van Wert Post is investigating a one-vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 2:34 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 24 west of Cecil, near the intersection of County Road 83 in Crane Township, Paulding County.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2340\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/osplogo.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"160\" \/>According to investigating troopers, a 2015 International Prostar semi driven by Matthew J. Coleman, 61, of Westland, Michigan, was traveling east on U.S. 24 when the vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway and hit a ditch before continuing a field where it finally came to a stop.<\/p>\n<p>First responders arrived on scene and found Coleman inside his vehicle and unresponsive. Medical attention provided at the scene was unsuccessful and the man was pronounced dead by the Paulding County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The Van Wert Post was assisted on scene by the Paulding County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Paulding County Coroner\u2019s Office, Crane Township Fire Department, Antwerp EMS, and Gideon\u2019s Towing &amp; Recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Coleman was wearing his seat belt at the time of the traffic crash and alcohol use is not suspected.
