Thousands of local 4-H members, staff, volunteers, and supporters will join with Jo-Ann customers to ensure more kids get that chance through a new Paper Clover campaign to bring hands-on 4-H programs to Van Wert and other communities.<\/p>\n<p>The Paper Clover campaign will take place in 865 Jo-Ann Fabrics stores nationwide during February 1-28. Supporters will have a chance to share their hearts and show their love for by purchasing $1 and $4 paper clovers to equip local clubs with resources to reach more kids in need.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3362\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/4-h-logo-cutout.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"100\" height=\"105\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-97762\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevwindependent.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Jo-Ann-Fabrics-logo-1-2018.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"100\" \/>During the month of love, local 4-Hers will also partner with their local Jo-Ann stores to hand-make and deliver custom Valentine\u2019s Day cards to local Van Wert organizations. Representatives will be present at both the Lima and Fort Wayne Jo-Ann\u2019s locations to help make cards!<\/p>\n<p>Studies show that many students lose their natural love of learning somewhere between kindergarten and their senior year of high school. When more Van Wert County youths have access to local 4-H programming, they will participate in hands-on projects they can design, create, and make for themselves. These experiences are proven to rekindle a love of learning and produce a variety of benefits &#8212; from strengthening their creativity and imaginative thinking to improving their motor skills, coordination, and self-esteem.<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the Paper Clover campaign will directly support Van Wert County 4-H programs. Since there is no Jo-Ann\u2019s store in Van Wert County, proceeds will be shared from adjacent JoAnn\u2019s stores. Each paper clover will include instructions for a special Valentine\u2019s Day craft idea that customers can create to share with someone special.
