Those bids are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arcon Builders Ltd. &#8212; Contract A, $72,000; Contract B, $13,100; Combined bid, $85,183; Alternate Bid A1, $1,228; Alternate Bid A2, $1,878.<\/li>\n<li>Geuy Construction Company &#8212; Contract A, $67,500; Contract B, no bid; Alternate Bid A1, $1,200; Alternate Bid A2, $1,500.<\/li>\n<li>Miami &amp; Erie Contractors Inc. &#8212; Contract A, $58,700; Contract B, $10,000; Combined bid, $68,700; Alternate Bid A1, $1,000; Alternate Bid A2, $1,275.<\/li>\n<li>Miller Contracting Group Inc. &#8212; Contract A, $78,600; Contract B, $12,900; Combined bid, $91,500; Alternate Bid A1, $3,000; Alternate Bid A2, $3,100.<\/li>\n<li>Shinn Brothers &#8212; Contract A, $79,116.15. Contract B, no bid; Alternate Bid A1, $1,300; Alternate Big A2, $3,100.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The engineer\u2019s estimate for Contract A is $72,000, while the estimate for Contract B is $11,500. Estimates for Alternates A1 and A2 are $1,500 and $1,200, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Bidding for the Scott lighting project are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bender Electrical Contracting of St. Henry &#8212; $31,490.<\/li>\n<li>Overholt Electric of Middle Point &#8212; $18,952.<\/li>\n<li>Paysen Electric of Celina &#8212; $31,500.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Engineering estimate for the project is $32,000, with all three bids under that amount.<\/p>\n<p>Consultants for both projects &#8212; Mote &amp; Associates on the Ohio City project and Fanning\/Howey on the Scott lighting project &#8212; will take the bids under advisement and present recommendations to the commissioners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Van Wert independent The Van Wert County Board of Commissioners opened bids on two village projects during the commissioners\u2019 regular meeting on Thursday.
