DEFIANCE — The Cougar swim teams traveled to Defiance for the annual Western Buckeye League Championships involving all 10 member schools. The girls’ team took fifth place, while the boys finished 10th. Lima Shawnee took first place for the boys\u2019 championships, with Celina taking the girls\u2019 first place ranking. Wapakoneta took runner-up for the boys and Ottawa-Glandorf finished as the runner-up in the girls\u2019 events. Other schools participating (in order of finish in the girl\u2019s standings) included Wapakoneta, Lima Shawnee, Van Wert, St. Marys Memorial, Defiance, Lima Bath, Elida and Kenton.<\/p>\n
