An informational wind energy meeting will be held Friday, July 1, at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 12493 Mendon Road (just off Mendon Road south of Van Wert.<\/p>\n
The meeting is being held by the Southern Van Wert County Wind Association, but the group’s name is now a misnomer because BP has contacted landowners beyond Van Wert County, so anyone interested in learning more about wind energy or wind land leases is welcome to attend.<\/p>\n
There will be a box for questions so people can write questions ahead of time, or questions can be asked orally.\u00a0This association is organized to help\u00a0get landowners a better contract and to help people understand the long contract.<\/p>\n
