Brecht, who was nominated by athletic administrator Dave Bowen, has been a member of the cheerleading squad since middle school. She\u2019s also a member of the track team and is a four year member of student council.\u00a0Coaches and athletic directors may nominate student athletes for the weekly award by sending an e-mail to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:sports@thevwindependent.com\">sports@thevwindependent.com<\/a>.
