Jackie Sue Foster, 16, of Wapakoneta, passed away surrounded by her loving family at 4:42 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Nationwide Children\u2019s Hospital in Columbus after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.<\/p>\n
She was born March 15, 2001, in Van Wert.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her mother, Vickie S. Foster of Wapakoneta; a brother, Jordan Foster of Wapakoneta; her grandmother, Janet L. Foster of Wapakoneta; an uncle, Ronald Foster, of Wapakoneta; one aunt, Connie (Doug) Leffel of St. Marys; two cousins; and a great-aunt and great-uncle.<\/p>\n
Her paternal grandfather, Eugene W. Foster, also preceded her in death.<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Wapakoneta Baptist Church, with the Rev. Phillip DeLorme officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City. <\/strong><\/p>\n Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the church.<\/strong><\/p>\n Preferred memorials: Children\u2019s Cancer Research Fund, (www.childrenscancer.org)<\/a>.<\/p>\n Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert is assisting the family with arrangements.<\/p>\n
