Van Wert Police

February 6, 11:45 a.m. — A resident of the 500 block of Gordon Avenue reported the theft of a black 20-inch Mongoose bicycle with a gray stripe from the 300 block of North Franklin Street.

February 5, 8:16 p.m. — Christine A. Miller, 19, of Ohio City, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI), underage consumption and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle as a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of Shannon and Crawford streets.

February 5, 1:50 p.m. — A resident of the 100 block of East Sycamore Street reported that a debit card was stolen from his wallet.

February 5, 12:54 p.m. — An Ohio City woman reported the theft of her wallet while in the 700 block of West Ervin Road. Credit cards that were in the wallet were also used for purchases, with police continuing to investigate the incident.

February 5, 9:33 p.m. — An Olympic Drive resident reported that a window in a mobile home in the 9000 block of John Brown Road was damaged by a BB shot into it.

February 4, 10:57 a.m. — Matthew P. Foehl, 25, of rural Convoy, was arrested for domestic violence for an incident that took place in the 600 block of North Franklin Street.

February 5, 10:01 a.m. — A Van Wert resident reported the theft of her wallet from a shopping cart that was in the parking lot of the local Walmart Supercenter.

February 5, 12:33 a.m. — Joshua J. Gile, 32, of 314 S. Fulton St., was cited for an open container violation as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Shannon and Jackson streets.

February 5, 3:17 a.m. — Cori M. Raines, 27, of Columbus Grove, was charged with OVI and an open container violation as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Market Street.

February 5, 8:10 p.m. — Billy Jo Dettrow, 42, of 775 High St., was arrested for domestic violence for an incident that occurred at his residence.
