Van Wert Police

March 1, 10:09 a.m. — Derek J. Gaskill, 23, of 1041 Oak Lane, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after his mother reported that he had taken her vehicle without permission.

March 1, 7:08 p.m. — David Lape of Van Wert reported that someone stole checks from his residence and someone then fraudulently accessed his checking account.

March 1, 10:35 a.m. — A juvenile, 17, of Van Wert was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a bong used for smoking marijuana in his vehicle during a recent search at the school.
