Van Wert Police

March 24, 8:59 p.m. — A Van Wert woman reported a burglary at her South Tyler Street residence.

March 29, 4:48 a.m. — Brian M. Shields, 28, of 228 Burt St., was arrested for disorderly conduct-persisting, after officers were called to the residence on a domestic violence complaint.

March 28, 6:40 p.m. — Jesse J. Stemen, 22, of 619 E. Central Ave., was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Mercer County as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Tyler Street.

March 38, 8:25 a.m. — Van Wert Auto Supply, 118 N. Jefferson St., reported the theft of several car batteries.
