Marsh, VWCH partner on walking program

The Marsh Foundation and Van Wert Hospital’s Gaylord E. Leslie Wellness Center recently completed the Walk Fit Mileage Club. This program encourages youth and staff members to incorporate exercise into their daily activities. Twenty-eight students and 18 staff members walked for a total of 995 miles from April 13 through May 27. Awards were presented to the top walkers:

  • First place group home – Vance Hall, 295 miles
  • First place student walker – (tied) Darreal Wright and Kalaeb Stafford, 45 miles
  • First place staff walker – Joy Gordon, 150 miles

“All this was in efforts to promote health/fitness in a fun, encouraging way for our entire campus,” said Sherry Grone, activity coordinator at The Marsh Foundation.
