Van Wert Police

June 18, 1:19 a.m. — Jesse J. Stemen, 22, of 418 N. Race St., was cited for an open container violation and littering as a result of a traffic stop in the 300 block of East Main Street.

June 19, 2:24 a.m. — Brandon W. Springer, 28, of 243 Woodstock Drive, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) as a result of a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Sycamore Street.

June 17, 10:42 p.m. — David G. Rollins, 36, of 613 Monroe St., was charged with OVI as a result of a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Central Avenue.

June 19, 9:37 p.m. — A Van Wert man reported that someone stole an American flag from his front yard.
