Van Wert Police

July 17, 9:10 p.m. — A resident of the 200 block of North Race Street reported damage to a vehicle that was parked on the street there.

July 17, 6:42 p.m. — A man reportedly hit the front windshield of a vehicle with a baseball bat while at Brookside Convenience Store, 1301 W. Main St., causing damage to a window.

July 17, 5:17 p.m. — A resident of the 200 block of North Jefferson Street reported the theft of a necklace from his residence.

July 17, 3:01 a.m. — Juan A. Valle, 18, of Van Wert, and a 15-year-old Convoy girl were both charged with underage consumption as a result of a traffic stop at the intersection of George Street and Euclid Avenue.

July 17, 4:20 a.m. — Patrick R. Comer, 19, of Grover Hill, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and underage consumption as a result of a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Washington Street.

July 15, 6:18 p.m. — George E. Noggle, 68, of 521 S. Chestnut St., was charged with domestic violence as a result of a domestic dispute at his residence.

July 15, 9:37 a.m. —  A resident of the 700 block of Jennings Road reported the theft of $70 from her residence during a garage sale.

July 15, 10:17 a.m. — The theft of a mini-bike was reported in the 800 block of Cable Street.

July 15, 7:02 a.m. — Damage was reported to a soft drink vending machine at the Van Wert Solid Waste Management Recycling Center at 1135 N. Washington St.
