Van Wert Police

August 9, 1:28 a.m. — A resident of the 100 block of Burt Street reported the theft of prescription medication from his house.

August 10, 7:31 p.m. — Taylor Nicole Cassidy, 17, a resident of The Marsh Foundation, was arrested for assaulting a police officer during an incident that took place in Clymer Hall on the Marsh campus.

August 10, 5:13 p.m. — Alberto Cervantes, 37, of 719 E. Sycamore St., Apt. C, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant issued in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

August 11, 7:37 p.m. — A resident of the 200 block of West Third Street reported that someone loosened the tire lug nuts on his vehicle.
