August 16, 8:33 a.m. — An employee of Star Rental, 1294 W. Main St., reported that someone rented a trailer from the business, but failed to return it by the contracted time.

August 16, 11:03 a.m. — A resident of the 400 block of North Race Street reported that someone attempted to break in to the house, damaging a door, but no entry was believed to have occurred.
