Van Wert Police

August 28, 1:17 a.m. — Lester E. Sulfridge Jr. 52, of 817 Elm St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Defiance County.

August 27, 4:47 p.m. — Richard P. Bogart, 73, of 1015 E. Main St., was arrested for disorderly conduct after allegedly using racial slurs towards others.

August 27, 12:36 a.m. — Two people were cited as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Zimmerman Avenue and Crawford Street. The driver of the vehicle, Lelia M. Valle, 19, of 7808 Bowers Road, Convoy, was cited for underage consumption and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Zachary J. Wood, 17, of 730 N. Jefferson St., was cited for underage consumption.

August 27, 11:43 p.m. — Joe Ayala, 17, of 10517 Lincoln Highway, was cited for underage consumption and having no operator’s license as a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Main Street.
