Van Wert Police

August 26, 12:14 a.m. — Zachary E. Miller, 27, and Gregory A. Jackson Jr., both of 324 N. Washington St., were each charged with possession of marijuana after a city K-9 unit “alerted” on the car they were in following a traffic stop in the 300 block of North Washington Street.

August 29, 10:11 a.m. — The theft of scrap metal was reported at Rural King, 811 Fox Road.

August 28, 8:36 p.m. — An incident of animal cruelty was reported in the 300 block of North Race Street.
