Van Wert Police

September 7, 2 p.m. — A Van Wert resident reported that someone tried to gain entry to a garage at the residence by way of the overhead door. Officers said it did not appear that entry was gained to the garage.

September 5, 3:37 p.m. — A city resident reported that someone burglarized her residence, taking jewelry, coins and other items.
