Yearbooks, food drive, and cross country

Lincolnview Elementary was selected by WalMart for their Teacher Reward Program again this year. Ten teachers were randomly selected to receive a $100 gift card to purchase supplies and materials for their classrooms. Above is second grade teacher Jeri Lipp receiving her $100 gift card from the assistant store manager of the Van Wert WalMart.

The 2010-2011 junior high yearbooks have been delivered and we hope that you enjoy looking at the memories from the past year.  We have taken our first order for the 2011-2012 yearbook.  The cost is $16.50.  Checks are to be made payable to Lincolnview Schools.  We also accept cash in the EXACT amount of $16.50.  This can be given to Mrs. Sheets or Mrs. Dowdy.  The next order will be taken in February.  You must pre-order a book. We do not order extras.  Photos can be submitted of any Lincolnview event to be considered for use in the yearbook by saving them to a disk and giving them to Mrs. Dowdy.  We will also accept candid photos of junior high students from activities they are involved in, such as 4-H, or just pictures of fun times together.

Mrs. Dowdy’s junior high math classes have lined the perimeter of her room one time with items that will be donated to the United Way Food Drive and are working on their second time around her room.  Students have brought in the a total of 408 items and have until Thursday afternoon to add to this amount.  The food drive is a part of the United Way’s Day of Caring which is Friday, September 23.

We would like to congratulate the Lincolnview Jr. High Boys Cross Country Program on having a very successful season so far. The team has placed third at the Delphos St. John’s Invitational, fourth at the Wayne Trace Invitational, third at a very competitive Columbus Grove Invitational, third out of 27 teams at the Spencerville Invitational and second at the Crestview Invitational.  Team members include: Colin Burns, Jacob Bradford, Austin Elick, Brayden Farmer, Carter Gorman, Noah Girod, Ryan Jacomet, Austin Leeth, Noah McMaster, Caleb Moore, Trevor Neate, Eric West, and Skylar Whitaker.
