Lincolnview Local Schools have decided to utilize a new Parent/Teacher online scheduler this year. PTCFast is designed to make it easy to schedule parent-teacher conferences. A letter was sent home with students on October 21 explaining how to schedule  appointments.

To pick a time slot, simply go to the Lincolnview website at: http://www.lincolnview.k12.oh.us. Locate the link, Parent/Teacher Scheduler, on the right side under the “Parents and Students” heading. Simply click on it and follow the directions. If you do not have internet access or have any questions, please contact us – for junior high and high school conferences call 419.968.2214 and for elementary conferences call 419.968.2351. Your call will be directed to the appropriate person. Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on November 21 from 4:30-8:30 and on November 22 from noon until 8 p.m. We are excited about the new online scheduler. It should make it easy for you to select the times that work for you. You will receive a confirmation email with a link that allows you to change your appointment time if needed, as well as a reminder of your appointment time. Please remember that the high school conferences are held as a group, so when scheduling your student, please select the same time for all of your student’s teachers.

There is also the opportunity to sign-up for a College Planning Session using the online scheduler. Brenda Leeth will be presenting a college planning session open to parents and students of any age in high school. She will be going over college planning time lines, college entrance exams, scholarship information as well as try to answer your questions about your child’s life after high school. Sign up online to insure that enough handouts will be available. The program will be Monday, November 21 from 7-8 p.m. in the Lecture Hall.

The Lincolnview Student Council thanks the Van Wert Community for their generous support this past Saturday at the 1st Annual Lancer 5K. The following area businesses were generous in either their donation of door prizes or with refreshments: YM, YW, The Wellness Center, Fast Fun Fitness, Everybodies Massage, Van Wert Cinemas, Mengerinks, Northwest Trophies, Derry Drugs, Mainstreet Market, Pick N Save and Pizza Hut. Thank you also goes to the Van Wert County Engineer’s Office and the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department for helping ensure the safety of our runners. A special thanks goes to a very generous Lincolnview family that donated above and beyond so that the students would have a memorable homecoming.

Spencer Prichard won the overall males’ plaque and Brenda Leeth won the overall females’ plaque. The following individuals won their age groups: Nick Leeth, Grace Gorman, Ian Miller, Danielle Reynolds, Todd Johnson, Janet Subler, Bob Evans, Lori Kreischer, Jay Prichard, Sue Cantwell and Al Arnold. All the proceeds will go towards homecoming expenses.

The LHS Theatre Past, Present, Future Variety Show will be held on Saturday, November 5, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 6, at 2 p.m. with both shows at the Marsh Auditorium.  Tickets may be purchased from theatre members, emailing ckraner@lincolnview.k12.oh.us or by calling the school.  For information check the blogs on the Times-Bulletin website, www.timesbulletin.com, under the blog section.

Starting October 31 the junior class will be selling Lincolnview High School Discount Cards. Each card costs $10 and includes discounts or free items to area businesses.  The card is valid for one year from November 1, 2011 to November 1, 2012.  Cards may be ordered from any member of the junior class or you can stop in the high school office.  Payment must accompany the order.

The cafeteria serves breakfast for all students K-12 every morning from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m.  The price is $1.15 for paid students, $.30 for reduced and free for the free students on the National School Lunch Program.  The students are to come directly to the high school side of the cafeteria from the bus.
