Veterans’ Day celebration scheduled

Lincolnview Local Schools is proud to announce a special Veteran’s Day Celebration to be held on November 11 to honor the Veterans of our Lincolnview student body and staff. We at Lincolnview are very proud of the men and women who are bravely serving or have served our country. For this reason, we would like to honor them by announcing their name, service dates, branch, and family member(s) with whom they are attending in our High School Gymnasium. Lincolnview would also like to pay tribute to those who have served that are no longer with us by reading their name in a special memorial portion of the program. Please join us on November 11 at 10 a.m. in the High School Gymnasium to help show our appreciation to our Veterans. A small reception will be held for the Veterans & their Lancer family member(s) after the program. Any questions can be directed to Stephanie Renner, srenner@lincolnview.k12.oh.us, or Paula Johnson, pjohnson@lincolnview.k12.oh.us.
The Lincolnview Jr./Sr. High School has been filled with activity over the past couple of weeks. Last week was a chance to dress up in pajamas, as a teacher, as farmers, in costumes, and as a fashion disaster! Thank you to the high school student council and Mrs. Johnson for putting the week together.
On Tuesday, October 18, students participated in the national Mix It Up Day at Lunch. This is the day when students sit with someone new in the cafeteria. Surveys show that the cafeteria is where social boundaries can be seen most clearly. Students were given a random type of candy as they entered the cafeteria and then sat at the table with the other students who had received the same type of candy. Students conversed during lunch and then headed to the gym for team-building activities with their group. The final activity was a hula hoop contest in which Skyler Friemoth was the winner.
