November 24, Lance B. Contreras, 23, of 150 Fox Road, was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) after he was stopped near his residence for speeding.

November 24, 3:03 a.m. — The cause of a car fire in the 300 block of North Walnut Street is being investigated.

November 23, 9:02 a.m. — Someone allegedly broke into the office of Taylor Carpet, 221 E. Main St., and stole several pieces of office equipment.

November 22, 12:41 a.m. — Michael P. Putman, 20, of 621 Temple St., was charged with underage consumption as a result of an incident at his residence.

November 22, 2:01 a.m. — James Orozco, 27, of 617 Allingham St., was charged with failure to control an animal and failure to license a dog after officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a barking dog.

November 21, 1:54 p.m. — The theft of property was reported at Van Wert Glass, 116 Sibley St.
