Van Wert Police

November 28, 12 p.m. — Delbert J. Drew, 21, of 409 N. Franklin St., Apt. B, was charged with one count of felonious assault for allegedly throwing a portable fire extinguisher at a police officer who was checking on his welfare. Drew is also accused of attempting to spray a chemical household cleaner at another officer and a second assault charge is pending.
