Fundraiser is successful

Mrs. Dowdy and Mrs. Sheets along with our Jr. High Student Council members would like to thank all those within our school community who helped out during this year’s Community Christmas Fundraiser.  Our goal was to raise at least $500 to help five Lincolnview families this holiday season.  We exceeded that goal through student and staff donations and by sponsoring out first Kids’ Night Out.  Parents, thanks for sending us your elementary kids; your money helped us to exceed that $500 mark!

Several gift donations have also been made, and we’d like to send a special thank-you out to those donors: Lincolnview Athletic Department, Lincolnview FFA members and leaders, and Rob Welch. In total, we are going to be able to help 11 families according to their specific needs.  It’s been such a rewarding experience to see our community come together once again to help others in need right here at Lincolnview. We’re glad to do what we can, but we could not do it without all of you!

Lincolnview Elementary 4th, 5th and 6th grades are competing in an AR Ice Cream for Books contest.  Each grade has until the end of the second nine weeks to hit 100 percent of their goals to receive an ice cream party given by the elementary library.  Currently, in first is 4th grade with 84 percent of their students completed with their AR goal.  In second place, we have the 5th grade with 56 percent of their students complete and in third place is 6th grade at 38 percent.  A big CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Mrs. Wendel’s class for having every student pass their AR goal before the holiday break.  Each student will have until January 13th to reach their AR goal.
