Van Wert Police

March 1, 12:28 p.m. — A resident of the 900 block of Woodland Avenue reported that one vehicle was tampered with and another vehicle damaged while parked on the street in front of the residence.

March 1, 10:53 a.m. — A resident of the 100 block of East Crawford Street reported that items delivered to the residence were taken by someone.

February 28, 9:01 a.m. — A rental property in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue was reported damaged.

February 29, 7:05 a.m. — The Good Earth Health Food Shop, 1031 S. Shannon St., was broken into and cash, a laptop computer, a purple iPod Nano, a black iPhone 3GS and two books of business checks were taken from the store. Police are investigating.

February 29, 8:39 p.m. — Chad A. Young, 23, of 332 W. Crawford St., was arrested and charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct-persisting as a result of an incident at his residence.

February 29, 4:36 p.m. — Tracey L. Stephey, 48, of 422 Shaffer St., was charged with domestic violence for an incident at her residence.

February 28, 2:55 p.m. — The theft of an air-conditioning unit was reported at a residence in the 1100 block of Leeson Avenue.

February 28, 1:24 p.m. — Eric R. Byer, 27, of Ohio City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued on behalf of the Van Wert County Adult Probation Department for probation violation.

February 28, 10:09 a.m. — A Van Wert woman said someone used her personal information to obtain a cell phone account.

February 28, 9:03 p.m. — Lewis F. DeLong, 50, of 503 Elliott St., was charged with violating the terms of a civil protection order issued against him.
