Van Wert Police

March 21, 10:09 p.m. — Wee Care Learning Center employees reported an attempt to enter the building at 10485 Van Wert-Decatur Road, but entry was not gained.

March 20, 9:27 a.m. — A house in the 900 block of South Washington Street was reportedly broken into and property taken.

March 19, 9:34 p.m. — Items were reportedly taken from a garage at a residence in the 600 block of South Tyler Street.

March 21, 9:46 a.m. — A contractor working on the Vantage Career Center facilities project reported that some of his equipment was damaged.

March 19, 2:07 p.m. — Someone apparently drove off without paying for $70.90 worth of gasoline.

March 20, 12:57 a.m. — Jesse Mullinex, 35, of rural Ohio City, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop in the 200 block of North Jefferson Street.

March 20, 4:54 p.m. — Zachary Allen Dominique, 23, of 1119 Pratt St., was charged with failure to reinstate, reckless operation and failure to comply with a signal from a law enforcement officer after he failed to stop for several blocks after officers attempted to stop his vehicle.

March 19, 2:11 p.m. — Joshua Williams, 17, of 235 W. Second St., was charged with assault after he allegedly assaulted another student at LifeLinks Community School, 605 N. Franklin St.

March 19, 11:59 p.m. — Clyde Thatcher, 59, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was cited for an open container violation as a result of a traffic stop in the 600 block of North Washington Street.

March 19, 6:29 p.m. — Tiffany S. Cook, 35, of 335 S. Tyler St., was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident at her residence.
