Van Wert Police

March 23, 10:46 p.m. — Damage was reported to a vehicle parked in the 200 block of West Second Street.

March 25, 11:40 a.m. — Property was reported taken from Rent-A-Center, 1144 S. Shannon St.

March 24, 10:48 p.m. — Tyler A. Dirham, 19, of 514 N. Jefferson St., was charged with felony possession of marijuana and Richard J. Raber, 20, of 721 1/2 E. Main St., was charged with underage consumption, following a traffic stop near the intersection of Franklin and Jackson streets.

March 24, 11:37 p.m. — Kurtis L. Ringler, 20, was charged with underage consumption and furnishing a place for underage consumption, and McCauley MJ Potts Swann, 20, of Defiance, was charged with obstructing official business, underage consumption, and felony vandalism for an incident that took place at Ivy Court Apartments, 1066 W. Main St.

March 24, 5:23 p.m. — James E. Mihm Jr., 17, of 3949 U.S. 127, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was also cited for not having a driver’s license as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Market and Raymond streets.

March 24, 5:58 p.m. — Zachary R. Burkhammer, 17, of 403 S. Franklin St., was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Mitchell R. Vargas, 16, of Ohio City, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Wayne and Sycamore streets.
