Mini-Relay scheduled

Once again, Lincolnview is participating in Relay for Life by holding their own Mini-Relay to raise money and awareness for the fight against cancer. The Mini-Relay will be held on Friday, April 20. Fundraising activities are going on this week with all donations going to the American Cancer Society. In order to participate in the daily themes, students have been asked to donate $1. There is also a “Superheroes for Survivors” contest. The teacher of the classroom that earns the most money will dress as a superhero for our all school assembly on Friday. Students can bring money in and donate it to the teacher they would like to see dress as a superhero.
Daily events include:
Monday: Physical fitness day – students can come to school dressed in their favorite sports or activity attire (team, sport, dance, etc.);
Tuesday: Sock it to Cancer – wear crazy socks to school;
Wednesday: Turn your Back on Tobacco – wear your clothes backwards to school;
Thursday: Shade Out Cancer – students can wear a hat and/or sunglasses to school;
Friday: Mini-Relay – wear Lincolnview colors to show your support in the fight against cancer.
The Lancer Mini-Relay walking schedule for April 20 is: 9-10 a.m. – second and seventh grades and freshman; 10-11 a.m. – third grade and seniors; 11 a.m.-noon – fourth and sixth grades and sophomores; noon-1 p.m. – kindergarten, first grade and eighth grade; and 1-2 p.m. – fifth grade and juniors.
