Jr. High track team finishes season

The junior high track team completed their season last Friday with the NWC meet at Spencerville.  Out of ten participating teams, the boys’ team finished fifth and the girls’ team placed seventh.  Uniforms are to be turned in this week.

Placing for the girls was: Anna Gorman : first in the mile (5:56.82) and 800 meter run (2:44.92); Ashton Bowersock : third in the 800 meter run (2:51.87); Brooke Thatcher : seventh in 100 m. hurdles (19.35); sixth in 200 m hurdles (35.02); Alyssa Matthews : fourth in shot put (28’ 4.5”); Grace Richey : eighth in discus (58’); Ryanne Ducheney : eighth in high jump (3’10”); 4×100 relay of Thatcher, Bigham, Cowling, Wendel : sixth place (59.95); 4×200 relay of Bigham, Rhoades, Wendel, Cowling : seventh place (2:12.88); 4×400 relay of Bowersock, Rhoades, Wendel, Gorman : fourth place (4:50.94).

Placing for the boys was: Hunter Blankemeyer : first in 110 m. hurdles (16.75);  first in 200 m. hurdles (29.01) ; fourth in high jump (5’2”); Skyler Whitaker: third in 800 meter run (2:21.65); Colin Burns: fourth place in the mile (5:28.81) ; fifth in 800 m. run (2:32.35); Carter Gorman: fourth place in pole vault (8’ 6”); John Mason: fifth place in the high jump (4’10”); 4×100 relay of Frost, McMaster, Teman, Schmersal ; sixth place (53.74); 4×200 relay of Farmer, Frost, McMaster, Schmersal; third place (1:50.23); 4×400 relay of Schmersal, Farmer, Mason, Whitaker; third place (4:17.73).
