Van Wert Police

September 11, 10:54 p.m. — A home in the 400 block of Shaffer Street was reportedly entered and $500 in cash taken.

September 10, 11:30 a.m. — A break-in was reported at a residence in the 800 block of Elson Avenue. Tools and big-screen televisions were among the items taken.

September 10, 10:27 p.m. — Rodney O. Brown, 48, of Convoy, was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired as a result of a traffic stop in the 800 block of North Washington Street.

September 11, 2 p.m. — Jared L. Garwood, 28, of 421 Burt St., was arrested on an outstanding  warrant while at a residence in the 200 block of West Fourth Street.
