Van Wert Police

October 20, 2:45 a.m. – James K. Sylvia, 46, of 308 W. Maple Ave., Apt. 2W, was charged with domestic violence for an incident that occurred at his residence.

October 21, 10:57 a.m. – Two “Obama for President” yard signs were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of South Avenue.

October 20, 8:04 a.m. – Pry marks were found on a rear door of Dollar General, 1136 S. Shannon St. in Van Wert.

October 20, 12:41 a.m. – Jessica R. Leppard, 23, of 402 McKibben Drive, was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) and driving a vehicle while under a driver’s license suspension as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of Central Avenue and Washington Street.

October 20, 10:19 a.m. – Michael M. Whisman, 21, of 513 W. Main St., was charged with theft for allegedly attempting to steal shoes from Shoe Sensation, 1138 S. Shannon St.

October 20, 1:50 p.m. – Alexandra N. Whisman, 19, of 512 Burt St., was charged with theft for a shoplifting incident at Dollar General in Van Wert.

October 18, 3:05 p.m. – Four juveniles were charged with tobacco violations while in Fountain Park in Van Wert.

October 18, 2:33 p.m. – The theft of a Gateway laptop computer from a vehicle was reported in the 100 block of Sibley Street.

October 16, 12:32 p.m. – A counterfeit check was reported at Pick ‘N’ Save grocery, 719 Fox Road. The check was made to look like it was drawn on the business account of Quail Run Apartments.

Delphos Police

October 21, 6:29 a.m. – Joshua Binnion, 21, of Spencerville, was obstructing official business and persistent disorderly conduct while intoxicated for an incident in the 600 block of Elida Avenue.

October 18, 7:10 p.m. – Larry Brincefield of Delphos was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident in the 200 block of West Clime Street.
