Van Wert Police

February 16, 2:15 p.m. — Jewelry valued at approximately $7,000 was reported taken from a residence in the 600 block of High Street.

February 15, 5:39 p.m. — A Van Wert resident reported purchasing a cell phone that was later determined to have been stolen.

February 16, 7:11 p.m. — Chad M. Caldwell, 35, of 218 E. Central Ave., Apt. 1, was charged with domestic violence for a incident that occurred at his residence.

February 13, 10:32 p.m. — Lucas J. Wood, 22, of 322 E. Crawford St., was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop near the intersection of  Burt Street and Kear Road.

February 12, 10:26 p.m. — Samantha J. Schnepp, 33, of 136 Keplar St., was charged with domestic violence as a result of an incident that occurred at her residence.

February 11, 6:30 p.m. — Jonathan R. Griffin, 24, of 637 N. Franklin St., Apt. 9, was arrested near his residence on a warrant issued on behalf of the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.
