Delphos Police

March 10, 3:25 p.m. — Debra Etzkorn, 44, of Delphos, was cited for driving under a license suspension and operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) as a result of a traffic stop in the city.

March 9, 3:14 p.m. — Police received a call from a security company stating that an alarm had been activated at a business in the 400 block of West Clime Street. Officers found that an attempt had been made to force entry into the business, but those attempting to get in had fled by then.

March 8, 3:09 p.m. — A Delphos resident call police to report a scam involving allegedly winning a government contest and a large sum of money. As part of the scam, the victim needed to pay a sum of money and provide his bank account number. The victim did supply the information, but stopped the transaction before money could be withdrawn. Police warn that contests that involve payment of money and the providing of financial information are scams and should be reported immediately.

March 9, 12:45 p.m. — A resident of the 600 block of Euclid Street reported that a man who said he was an employee of Just Energy/AEP came to her house and, while inside, asked to use the restroom and for a glass of water before leaving. After he left, the woman discovered her wallet had been stolen from her purse.
