Local Sears store earns company award

The Sears Hometown Store in Van Wert has been named a 2013 Second Quarter recipient of the “Sears Hometown Premier Store” award. The award recognizes Sears Hometown Stores across the country that consistently offer the highest levels of customer service, outstanding store performance and standards. For the Second Quarter, the Van Wert store was one of only 463 locations throughout the U.S. to receive this national recognition.

“To be honored as a Premier Store is a great achievement, not only for our store, but also for the community we strive to serve everyday,” said Kirk and Erica Berryman, owners and operators of the Sears Hometown Store in Van Wert. “We could not have earned this without the support of our community, and we want to thank our customers for shopping with us throughout the year.”

Only 48 percent of Sears Hometown Stores receive this prestigious award for the Second Quarter, and this year, each store receiving Premier Store status will be given the opportunity to participate in special events, along with other Premier Stores.
