Van Wert Police

July 11, 10:47 p.m. — Dustin T. Cooper, 29, of 328 S. Vine St., was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired (OVI) after a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Vine Street.

July 12, 4:42 p.m. — Justin Peter Meyer, 30, of Archbold, was charged with possession of marijuana following an incident at Tyler’s Short Stop in Van Wert.

July 13, 7:09 p.m. — Bethany Wreath, 23, of 323 N. Race St., was charged with theft in connection with a shoplifting incident at the local Walmart Supercenter, 301 Towne Center Blvd.

July 13, 12:58 a.m. — Daniel A. Huber, 33, of 912 E. Main St., was cited for OVI after a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Market streets.

July 13, 7:53 p.m. — Lewis G. Buckner Jr., 56, of 323 N. Race St., was cited for OVI after police were called to investigate a fight in the 300 block of North Race Street.

July 11, 8:25 a.m. — An attempted break-in was reported at American Legion Post 178, 631 W. Main St.

July 7, 10:02 p.m. — A 15-year-old boy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia while in the 500 block of East Third Street.

July 8, 5:10 p.m. — Colby A. Black, 29, of Ohio City, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia while in the 400 block of West Ervin Road.

Delphos Police

July 13, 1:32 a.m. — A resident in the 400 block of South Canal Street reported that someone forced entry into a detached living area on the property and took items from inside. The thieves apparently also came back later and took more items.

July 10, 5:26 p.m. — A resident of the 300 block of North Franklin Street reported that someone took several checks from inside the residence and had been using them at several locations in town. The case was forwarded to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.
