July 30, 3:38 p.m. — Derrick W. Kampf, 20, of 721 Glenn St., was cited for an open burning violation at his residence.

July 30, 12:51 p.m. — A 14-year-old boy was charged with assaulting a juvenile family member at his residence on West Main Street. He will appear in Van Wert County Juvenile Court on the charge.

July 29, 10:44 a.m. — Jeffrey A. Craft, 29, of 211 N. Fulton St., was arrested in the city on an outstanding warrant issued in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

July 29, 12:07 a.m. — Derek E. Pontius, 28, of 523 N. Chestnut St., was cited for an open container violation while at the intersection of Cherry and Sycamore streets.
