Students experience bowling, blues

On Dec. 13 Kindergarten and First Grade students had the opportunity to take a field trip to Olympic Lanes in Van Wert.  The children were able to experience bowling firsthand.

Bloomin’ with the Blues! Students in music classes learned about 12 bar blues music. They learned about the history of blues music, what it’s about, the instruments used, some famous blues musicians and the types of chords used in 12 bar blues. Students then played boomwhackers, pitched percussion tubes, to a blues song.
