New mowing technology

Dave Krendl of Cool Machines Inc. in Van Wert (shown above with two of the machines) announced a new line of zero-turn mowing machines on Friday morning during a meeting of the Ohio State Extension-Van Wert Economic Development Advisory Group. The mowers also have the ability to convert to a push mower – making them ideal for hilly terrain and other challenging landscape areas. Krendl said the mowers were the products on the market right now using this technology. The machines will be marketed under the Cool Machines name, although there will be some assembly by other companies under contract with the local business. Krendl said he was currently putting together a retail sales staff to market the mowers. (photo submitted)
