CELINA — Wabash Communications recently invested $500,000 in upgrades to its wireless network, and new equipment has been installed throughout the serving area.

The new radios will provide better coverage in areas that before were unreachable, and allow for faster bandwidth options. This investment is part of an overall network-wide upgrade. Wabash is very excited to have a solid network providing customers in rural areas with a reliable Internet connection.

The company currently covers all of Mercer County, southern Van Wert County, western Auglaize County, northern Darke County, all in Ohio, and eastern Jay and Randolph counties in Indiana, with wireless Internet access.

Wabash Communications is a subsidiary of Wabash Mutual Telephone, a nonprofit cooperative established in 1911.
