The students of Lincolnview Elementary will be enjoying some fun activities at their Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 30. It will begin at 1 p.m. with a parade of costumes from the classrooms to the gym for an assembly. The assembly will involve a creative costume contest, pumpkin caroling, and other fun activities. Students may dress up for the creative costume contest according to the costume guidelines below. This is an optional activity for students. Costume categories can include:

  1. Occupations (examples: fireman, nurse, doctor, farmer, etc.)
  2. Sports Player (examples:  basketball player, soccer player, cheerleader, etc.)
  3. Lancer Fans
  4. Favorite Movie Character

If you do not want your child to wear a costume, a flannel shirt and jeans would easily capture the fun spirit of the Fall Festival. We are asking you to take some time to help choose a costume appropriate for school. These are NOT Halloween costumes; therefore, the Fall Festival committee has set up some guidelines to keep the costumes kid friendly in the fun spirit of the day.

Costume guidelines:

  1. No masks or scary costumes permitted.
  2. No toy guns or other toy weapons allowed.

***Wigs are permitted for the costume parade, but are not to be worn in class. ***
